Backpacking in Chiapas


Chiapas, officially called the Free and Sovereign of Chiapas3, is one of 31 states that make up the 32 states of Mexico. Located in the southeast of Mexico, became the nineteenth state of Mexico on September 14, 1824 after the completion of a plebiscite, as in colonial times was part of the Captaincy General of Guatemala.
