WALK TO HIDDEN PARADISE, RIO LAGARTOS, YUCATAN MEXICO

Rio Lagartos is the name of a stream in a protected environmental reserve . It is a semi-enclosed body of water, connected to the Gulf of Mexico on its western part , with input of fresh water from springs and outcrops in Peninsular water table. On the appearance of the river and its dimensions and characteristics, this task is called sea estuary, although its depth is also considered as a swamp. Currently the far east of the estuary is closed . The estuary is located on the coast of Yucatan three municipalities : San Felipe , Rio Lagartos and Tizimín .
