Zacatecas is located in the central part of Mexico and the state capital of the same name. The beautiful colonial houses and buildings of pink stone, like streets and winding alleys, invite us to walk it in the middle of the provincial tranquility.

• Cathedral of Zacatecas

Most impressive is the cathedral façade that boasts of its carved art where a remembrance of Christianity is the representation of the twelve apostles.

The cathedral is dedicated to the patron saint Our Lady of Zacatecas, whose image is venerated inside. The remains of the martyr San Mateo Correa Zacatecas are also sheltered here.

• Mina El Eden

Zacatecas has a mining history known for its silverwork. The silver rush was captured in the El Eden mine. Through an exciting ride on a small train, meet this mining center located in the Cerro del Grillo.

An experience you can not miss is to visit La Mina Club. It is one of the most unique in the world because of its location in the bowels of the mine itself nightclubs.

• Cable car ride

The cable car ride is a unique opportunity to fully admire the architectural beauty of Zacatecas. It covers a distance of seven minutes at a height of 85 meters and connects the hills of Grillo and Kufa, the latter is one of the most important historical sites in the city that are worth visiting.

This museum is located within the Convent of San Francisco. In the collection you will find the world's largest Mexican masks, which includes about 10,000 pieces from every region of the country. Works of artists such as Diego Rivera and relevant pre-Hispanic objects are also discussed.

• Zacatecas Callejonadas

To enroll yourself in traditional "adventures" or "callejonadas" you will have a full of music, dancing and fun time. They are nocturnal tours bands performing popular music in the downtown streets where everybody is invited to dance to the beat of drums and trumpets. A burrito accompanies the evening carrying mezcal, drink typical of the region, which is offered in small jars of clay to participants.
