The name Oaxaca comes from the Nahuatl "Huaxyacac" meaning nose or tip of the gourds. Oaxaca was the first city to be included in the list of World Heritage of UNESCO in 1986. On your visit to this place do not miss the Cathedral, the Temple of Santo Domingo, the Temple of La Soledad and socket as well as the Casa del Mezcal.
Much of its attractions also reside in their crafts and cuisine, a good place to experience them is the market where you can compare the typical pieces of clay, textiles, as well as a
delicious black mole.
