TEPOZTLAN, MORELOS, MEXICO

Tepoztlan, which in Nahuatl means Place of the copper ax, is a quiet town located north of the State of Morelos, a mystical and enigmatic destination that has hosted several internationally acclaimed films and which was awarded in 2002 the category of Magical Town of Mexico.

Tepoztlan has been characterized by cultural and traditional development. It is one of the main tourist destinations in Morelos as
part of the National Park Tepozteco created by presidential decree to allocate the area for the conservation and protection of flora, fauna and archaeological remains.

Its main attractions are: Temple and former Convent of Nativity, Church of the Nativity, Museo Carlos Pellicer Museum and Historical Documentation Centre of Tepoztlan archaeological Zone Tepozteco and Tianguis or Day Plaza.
We recommend visiting other nearby places like Amatlán Quetzalcoatl and San Juan Tlacotenco.
