13 ATTRACTIONS IN RIVIERA NAYARIT

Venturing to the wide open spaces of the Riviera Nayarit aboard an ATV is perhaps one of the best options to explore this location, because you can experience the most of each of the different scenarios that compose it; from the intense green of Nayarit tropical forest to
the brown tones of the mountains that form the impressive Sierra Madre Occidental; always bordering, of course, the deep blue Pacific Ocean that bathes the golden coast of Nayarit.

Towns and cities in the Riviera Nayarit have attractions for everyone: fishing villages of typical Mexican relaxed atmosphere, as Lo de Marcos and Rincon de Guayabitos, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset with no company but a couple of beers well cold and the sound of waves crashing on the golden sand. The Riviera Nayarit also has great resorts that are practically a micro themselves, with marinas, golf course, restaurants and spa etiquette, such as those located in Nuevo Vallarta and Punta de Mita. When staying at a luxury resort, your only concern will be what activity undertaken, what beauty treatment applied, or what bar visit: if you are facing the beach or the pool.

Nuevo Vallarta
From south to north, Nuevo Vallarta is the first town in the Riviera Nayarit and is separated from the popular Puerto Vallarta, in the neighboring state of Jalisco, on the bed of the Rio Ameca. Flamingos

San Blas

Mexcaltitan
Some scholars assume that Mexcaltitán is actually Aztlan, the cradle of the Aztec civilization who founded Tenochtitlan in central Mexico. However, no conclusive evidence to support the fact that this particular city, built in concentric steps on a lake surrounded by mangroves, is the real place where the Mexica left to finally see the mythical eagle devouring a snake on a prickly Cactus in the Valley of Mexico. However, a visit to Mexcaltitán, which along with San Blas is the final part of the Riviera Nayarit, is a must stop on your tour of this beautiful region of Mexico. Do not forget to eat the traditional soup shrimp dumplings and visit the interesting museum.
