Being one of the largest countries in the world, you can already imagine that there is a lot to see in Canada. If you are thinking of traveling there, to make it easier for you, in this article we select the essential places to visit in Canada, so here we leave these suggestions for you and the whole family take note and it is your turn to plan the next vacation , we begin ...
- Banff National Park
One of the best places to visit in Canada is Banff National Park. Located south of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, it is the most visited park in the country due to the beauty of its landscapes. For example, Lake Peyto is one of the most spectacular sites to see in Canada and is located within it. You will be amazed with the surroundings, but even more with the turquoise color of the water.
Without leaving Banff, you can also enjoy another of the essential places to see in Canada: Moraine Lake. Fed by the water of a glacier, this lake is also characterized by having a blue water that seems to be taken from another planet. In addition, the lake is surrounded by the mountains that form the Valley of the Ten Peaks. If you want to do some active tourism, you can rent a kayak and explore part of the lake.
- CN Tower
It is one of our favorites and the ones we recommend not to miss if you are going to visit Canada. Located next to Lake Ontario, the first thing you can do is climb the CN Tower, the most famous tower in the country. At 553 meters altitude, the 360º views it offers of Toronto are incredible.
After being located in the city, Toronto offers some interesting places to see in Canada such as the Art Gallery of Ontario or the Casa Loma. The latter is an imposing mansion, a copy of Balmoral Castle in Scotland, built by magnate Henry Mill Pellatt in the early 20th century.
- Niagara Falls
Being one of the most important waterfalls on the planet, Niagara Falls do not need much presentation. Therefore, be sure to include it in your list of places of interest to see in Canada. Although they can be visited from both the Canadian side and the American lake, almost all travelers agree that the views from Canada are much more impressive.
Among the three falls that make up Niagara, the most beautiful of all is said to be Horseshoe Falls. It receives this name for its horseshoe shape, 671 meters wide.
- Jasper National Park
If you plan to visit both Banff National Park and Jasper National Park, on the way from one to the other you will cross one of the most beautiful roads of your trips: the Icefields Parkway. At the end of it, you will be welcomed by one of the most beautiful national parks in the country where you will be able to spot _grizzly_ bears, contemplate the imposing Athabasca glacier or enjoy the scenery of Maligne Lake, in a beautiful turquoise color and sheltered by mountains and glaciers.
- Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
The Capilano Suspension Bridge, located in the forest of the same name. It is a set of suspension bridges, in which the Capilano Bridge stands out, a 127-meter bridge that swings over the Capilano River. Although its current construction is much safer than the initial one, which was made of wood, crossing it is still a somewhat terrifying experience.
Located just 30 minutes from Vancouver, the park offers a great experience if you are traveling with your family. You'll find forests, lakes, redwood tunnels and wooden tree-top bridges (called the skywalk) where you can spend a great day in nature.
