LATIN AMERICAN TOWER CITY OUT IN THE HEIGHTS

Recently celebrated the first 57 years of a building in Mexico City noted for its strength and solidity. He is also one of the icons of the Historic Center of the Capital of the country. We refer to the Torre Latinoamericana . Since re opened this remarkable building has passed all kinds of events, including earthquakes occurred in Mexico City in the years 1957 and 1989. Interestingly, the Latin American Tower , is the tallest building in Latin America , to the year 1972. But even with the passage of time , it is still shown as a majestic and imposing building , which adorns the historic center of Mexico City .

Mexico City and the ninth tallest in the country . Built between February 1949 and early 1996 , the Latin American Tower was the first skyscraper that appeared in our country. Located at the intersection that forms the central axis Lazaro Cardenas and Calle de Francisco I. Madero recently transformed into pedestrian corridor . In ancient times in the same spot stood a Spanish convent and before that , there was the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II one of the first zoos in the continent. Other valuable references about the Torre Latinoamericana tell us that in the period between 1933 and 1960 was the only building of its kind built in a seismic zone and the sixth tallest in the world. It also has a one hundred percent anti-seismic technology national, remains same as used by builders of large buildings in areas of high seismic level . The Torre Latinoamericana is an excellent option for visiting the weekend because it has 3 basements and 44 floors , a height of 138 meters and a spectacular facade of 15,000 square meters of glass and 3.200 meters of aluminum foil.

 El Mirador de la Torre Latinoamericana offers people the best view of the city as it has forty-four floors. For many years it was the tallest building in the Federal District . Visitors can enter the times you want the gazebo during the day.

 HISTORY
The Tower was built at the site that was centuries ago the animal house of Emperor Moctezuma. The construction of the Torre Latinoamericana began in February 1948 and was completed in early 1956 . Hours: Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 22:00 hrs. On 24 and 31 December until 18:00 hrs.
