It has over 400 years of age, was a pioneer town that marked the birth of new settlements in Durango and Coahuila, and its former splendor is only Ojuela Bridge , which stands out from the remains of the church and old houses.
The suspension bridge visible from a distance , considered a marvel of engineering, is a monumental work of its time , measuring 318 meters long by

Location :
Mapimà village is north end of the state of Durango, roughly an hour of Torreon and Gomez Palacio . Ojuela is located just 15 minutes east of Mapimà by a paved road and unpaved .

Getting to Torreón, Coahuila or Gomez Palacio , Durango. There are flights by Aeromexico and Aerocalifornia . You can also arrive by bus between 14 and 16 hours of travel.

In most of the Municipality one climate is semi-dry and semi influencing , in great shape for it, the Bolson Mapimà , the vast desert party prevails in the Municipality .
